Never stay here unless it's for one night. The bed are not comfortable and the people are rude to outsiders and they have only one microwave. Also they don't like to allow you to cook your own food.
Friendly service, great location, easy to find
This place does NOT accept pets. There was not a front desk person fyi. I still have 1000 miles to drive and no other accomidations in sight. Not good. I would have paid a pet fee gladly!
We are from Australia and travelling through the USA for 5 weeks. Motel West was recommended to us and definitely a winner. The hospitality was wonderful and we were lucky enough to meet Doug and Joanne's grandchildren who were just delightful. The room was very good and immaculate, we strongly recommmend this motel.
This was a really interesting experience. The rooms are outdated and remind me of a dorm room. The oddest part was the person who worked there who, I think, both checked us in and checked us out, which means he either works multiple shift or basically lives there. He had a bit of an attitude, not towards us or the customer, but towards his employer. He told us he basically runs the place and has an attitude like he is better than what he is doing, better than the hotel, its owner, and probably the small town he is in. I would guess if you feels this way he is right. He was very nice to us and anticipated our needs. He saw we walked in with some takeout and asked if we needed forks, napkins, and plates. When I came down to ask for more pillows and an extra sheet he provided us with them, seemingly happy to do so but he seems rundown and the manor of his politeness may come of cold to some. Over all though this hotel seems clean but the accommodations are sparse. All the hotels in Wall, where we ate, where very pricey and mostly booked so we opted to save a few bucks. If we had to do more than just sleep it would have been a hard place to spend our time.
